Our Bedtime Stories program, which normally takes place on the first Monday evening of the month, will be offered instead on July 8 at 7 p.m. because the children's librarian will be attending the American Library Association's annual conference. So, see you on July 8 at 7 p.m. for the next Bedtime Stories, a program that is perfect for babies, toddlers, preschoolers and their grown-ups!
Join us on Monday, June 10 at 7 p.m. as we launch this year's Summer Quest, our unique, interactive summer reading program. This year's theme is robots, and the story involves lots of technology running merrily amuck. Each year, we are the only library in Maryland to create our own summer reading program, which is crafted, as usual, by Library Assistant Dave Burbank. If you can't make it to the June 10 launch, don't worry -- you can sign up anytime this summer. If you're coming to the launch, we encourage you to register at

Kids: come join us on Saturday, June 8 from 1-3 p.m. to make a card and simple gift for your dad or the other special man in your life. We'll provide the materials, thanks to the Friends of the Takoma Park Maryland Library. You supply the creativity! Please register so we can be sure to have enough materials for everyone.
