Come to the Library on Monday, Nov. 13 for our celebration of Children's Book Week. We're planning a special program, "Leaves of Autumn," led by local poet Rosanne Singer. We'll write poems and create art, and everyone will go home with a prize. The program is aimed at children in kindergarten through 5th grade, but other ages are welcome. Please sign up at the desk, or call 301-891-7259.
Join us at the Library on Monday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. for the annual visit of Tomas "Eaglebear" Shash. Tomas is the spokesperson and elder of the Atzlan Center in Gardner, Colo. and he will bring family and friends for an evening of dances, stories & songs from the Xicano & Apache cultures. Tomas seeks through song, dance and storytelling to provide insight into the lives of Native American people today. His program is both fun and educational for the whole family.
Please call the Library at 301-891-7259 to tell us you'll be there!
