Join us on Monday, Dec. 19 at 7:30 p.m. for the kick-off of our third annual WinterQuest reading program. Like our popular SummerQuest program, the story and artwork for WinterQuest is created by Dave Burbank, library assistant and artist extraordinaire. And, like SummerQuest, readers choose what books they want to read to play the WinterQuest game -- we only supply the categories. Unlike SummerQuest, however, readers track their own progress through the game as they enjoy doing some fun reading during the winter holiday.
At our event on Monday night, Dave will introduce the WinterQuest story, and then take drawing requests from the audience. There also will be lemonade and cookies! The WinterQuest program and snacks are provided by our Friends of the Takoma Park Maryland Library. No need to register, and if you can't make it on Monday night, you can begin WinterQuest any time during the holiday break.
