Tuesday Nov 10, 7:30pm, in the auditorium
Newbery Medalist Phyllis Reynolds Naylor will return to discuss the final book in her Shiloh series on Tuesday evening.
The first book in the series, simply titled Shiloh, won the 1992 Newbery Medal; the Newbery Medal is awarded annually by the American Library Asssociation to the best-written book for children from birth through age 14.
At the Nov. 10 event, Naylor will talk about how she got the idea for the first book, why it became a series, and read a bit from the just-published final book, A Shiloh Christmas.
Note, this event will be held next door in the Takoma Park Community Center auditorium (7500 Maple Avenue in Takoma Park), not inside the library itself.
Politics & Prose bookstore will be selling copies of Naylor's books at the event, but no purchase is required to attend this free event. Please join us for what promises to a special event.
