Kids and adults are invited to join us tonight Monday, Nov. 2, at 7 p.m. for our Caldecott Club, a.k.a. our family book club. For this program, we'll be focusing on some new graphic novels for kids, including Little Robot by Ben Hatke and Nimona by Noelle Stevenson, that are potential candidates for the 2016 Caldecott Medal. The Caldecott Medal is awarded annually by the American Library Association to the best-illustrated book for kids from birth through age 14. At tonight's program, we'll be reading key selections from the graphic novels, then we'll discuss them and vote for our favorite, using our special kid-friendly Caldecott criteria. As always, lemonade and cookies will be served, courtesy of the Friends of the Takoma Park Maryland Library. No registration is required. Just come and join us for a fun library program for the whole family!
