Our holiday events begin Saturday Dec 1 with our computer graphics card-making workshop from 10 a.m. -noon.
Our Holiday Book Sale , featuring hundreds of brand-new children's and teen books (plus some adult books), will take place on Sunday Dec. 2 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the beautiful offices of Historic Takoma in Takoma Junction. (Historic Takoma is next to Takoma Vet and across the Junction from the Takoma Co-op). Come early for the best selection!
On Saturday, Dec. 8, from 1 p.m.-3 p.m., kids are invited to come to the Library to make gifts for the special people in their lives at our Holiday Gift-Making Workshop . Registration is required so we can have enough gift-making supplies; to register, go to Program Registration - Takoma Park Maryland Library
Come as close to 1 p.m. as possible as we need to finish by 3 p.m., when we will offer our annual Holiday Sing-a-Long . This fun event for all ages will be led by Takoma Park musician/music teacher Wendy Lanxner and her students. Come sing songs of Hanukkah, Christmas and Kwanzaa!
Then on Thursday, Dec. 20, at 6:30 p.m., our annual Winter Solstice Celebration will take place. We'll begin with musician Bill Jenkins and his drums, then the Foggy Bottom Morris Men will swoop in with their songs and dances at 7:30 p.m. This is a great program for all ages.
