Please join us on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 7:30 pm for the Friends of the Takoma Park Maryland Library book discussion focused on the graphic novel, Jimmy Corrigan: Smartest Kid on Earth, by Chris Ware. The discussion will take place in the Hydrangea Room of the Community Center, and will be moderated by Tim Rahm and Library Associate Dave Burbank, who is a graphic novel expert. To discuss -- or just to learn more about Jimmy Corrigan -- please plan to attend our discussion. Books are available in the Library, but you don't have to read the whole book to participate.
Come Boogie for Books with the Friends of the Takoma Park Maryland Library on Saturday, Feb. 8 from 8-10 pm at VFW Post 350.
Classic rock and power pop music will be provided by The Airport 77s. There's a suggested donation of $20; money raised that night will go towards the Friends' ability to support such popular Library programs as our weekly Spanish Circle Time, our monthly Petites Chansons/French Circle Time, and SummerQuest, our unique summer reading program. At the Feb. 8 event, there will be prizes, local art on display, and more!
