Today, July 27th, is Beatrix Potter's 150th birthday. Beloved creator of children's books, she was a passionate conservationist, naturalist, and farmer.
Renowned not just for Peter Rabbit, Squirrel Nutkin, and Jemima Puddle-Duck, Potter also produced brilliant, and still treasured, scientific illustrations of mushrooms, fossils, and artifacts.
