Paolo Bacigalupi's second novel, Ship Breaker won this year's Michael Printz Award, given to the best book of the year for teen readers. The Printz is often called the "Newbery Medal" of the teen book world, and the winning books are always thought-provoking. Bacigalupi's book is no exception.
