Chief Ronald A. Ricucci from the Takoma Park Police Department announces the arrest of Larry Marswell Williams, 44, of Washington, D.C.
On December 16, 2008, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Williams was arrested by members of the Montgomery County Police Repeat Offender Section without incident in the 2100 block of Ft Davis Rd, SE, Washington, DC. Williams was charged with burglary and theft charges for the burglary of a resident in the 100 block of Grant Avenue on December 2, 2008. Williams was transported to jail in the District of Columbia and is awaiting an extradition hearing.
On December 2, 2008, Takoma Park Police responded to the 100 block of Grant Avenue for reports of a residential breaking and entering that had occurred earlier in the day. The victim advised that some time between the hours of 7:30 AM and 6:00 PM someone entered her residence and took property. It is believed that access was gained through a rear basement door which may have been left unsecured. There were no signs of forced entry.
Chief Ricucci appreciates and thanks Montgomery County for their assistance. Investigation continues into the other residential and commercial burglaries in the City of Takoma Park.
