On December 17, 2008, at approximately 5:03 a.m., Takoma Park Police responded to the 7000 block of Carroll Avenue for reports of a burglary. The unknown suspect was attempting to kick in the victims’ bedroom door when one of the victim’s screamed. The victims locked the bedroom door and called the police. The suspect fled after hearing the victim scream. The suspect entered the premises through an unlocked rear kitchen door. Property was taken. There were no injuries. A K9 track was conducted with negative results. The suspect was a male last seen wearing blue jeans and white tennis shoes. Investigation continues under case #08074664.
