Police Investigate Citizen Robbery
On June 21, 2007, at approximately 11:15PM, police officials were summoned to the Unit Block of Pine Ave, Takoma Park for the report of a strong arm robbery. An adult male was walking alone when a subject ran up to him and attacked him, striking him and knocking him to the ground. The subject struck the victim several more times before taking his wallet and bag. He then fled in a white sedan, driven by a second subject. The victim refused treatment for minor injuries. The subject was described as a black male in his 20's, 5'11", 190 lbs, medium build, dark complexion, short hair, wearing shorts and a white tee shirt. No description was given for the second subject.

Police Officials Seize 54 pounds of Marijuana
On June 13th, after a joint investigation with members of the Maryland State Police Drug Enforcement Command, The Montgomery County Department of Police and the Takoma Park Police Tactical Enforcement Unit seized 54 pounds of marijuana that was in route to two different locations: Mortgage Star, 1011 University Boulevard Suite 202 and the 7900 block of Fairview Ave, Hyattsville, Maryland.
Members of the Montgomery County Department of Police Special Investigations Division, Interdiction Unit were at the United Parcel Service facility in Burtonsville, Maryland. Detectives were advised of two suspicious parcels at that location. The parcels were located and seized. A search and seizure warrant was executed at 1011 University Blvd, Suite 202 where investigators recovered additional amounts of marijuana. As a result of this investigation, Winston Spencer Elliot of Baltimore, Maryland was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance. The seized Marijuana had a street value of approximately 54 thousand dollars. The investigation is on-going.
