Between February 15 at 6:00 pm and February 16 at 8:00 am in the 7800 block of Lockney Avenue, an auto theft occurred. It is unknown what method was used to steal the 1998 Honda Civic. 07-2140
On February 16 at 1:42 pm in the 7300 block of Carroll Avenue, a commercial armed robbery occurred. One subject entered a business, displayed a handgun and demanded the contents of the cash register. After the owner of the business complied, the subject ordered the owner and the lone customer to lay on the ground, took their wallets and fled on foot. Neither of the two victims, adult males, was injured. The subject was described as an adult black male, 5'9" tall, 190 lbs, medium build and wearing a tan jacket, a dark blue ski mask, dark hat and black gloves. 07-2151
On February 18, between 6:15 pm and 6:21 pm in the 7500 block of Glenside Drive, an auto theft was attempted. The owner of the 2005 Dodge Caravan saw an unknown subject exiting his vehicle and another subject standing beside. As the owner approached, the subjects fled on foot. The driver’s side window and the ignition were damaged. The subjects were described as black males, 16-18 years old, slim build, one wearing blue pants, blue coat and a red and white hat. 07-2227
Between February 20 at 10:00 pm and February 21 at 11:50 am in the 7200 block of Spruce Avenue, an auto theft occurred. It is unknown how the 1996 Dodge Caravan was stolen. 07-2342
Between February 20 at 8:00 pm and February 21 at 8:30 am in the 1000 block of Hopewell Avenue, three vehicles were vandalized. A 1999 Mazda Protege and a 1992 Toyota Camry had vent windows broken and property from inside taken. A 1991 Honda Accord had a vent window broken.

Arrests:
On February 17 at 10:51 pm in the 7500 block of Maple Avenue, an adult male was arrested on an open Montgomery County warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of disorderly conduct. 07-2204
On February 17 at 9:25 pm in the 8600 block of Flower Avenue, an adult female was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. 07-2201
On February 20 at 12:59 am in the 1300 block of University Blvd., an adult male was arrested and charged with theft over $500, resisting arrest and false statement to a police officer. 07-2282
On February 20 at 2:13 pm in the 200 block of Park Avenue, an adult male was arrested and charged with attempted 1st degree burglary. 07-2292
On February 22 at 11:43 am in the 7500 block of Maple Avenue, an adult female was arrested on an open Montgomery County warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of driving while suspended. 07-2402
On February 22 at 10:27 pm in the 7500 block of Maple Avenue, an adult female was arrested on an open Montgomery County warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of underage drinking of alcohol. 07-2430

Between February 8 at 10:00 pm and February 7 at 7:30 am in the 8300 block of Roanoke Avenue, an auto theft occurred. It is not known how the 1998 Pontiac Sunfire was stolen. 07-1868
On February 9 at 9:00 pm in the 100 block of Grant Avenue, an armed robbery occurred. An adult female was walking alone when she noticed three subjects in a car parked ahead of her. One of the subjects got out of the car, approached her, displayed a handgun and demanded her purse. The victim dropped her purse, the subject picked it up and fled in the vehicle, a dark colored 4 door car. The victim was not injured. The subject was described as a black male, wearing a black coat and black clothing. No description was given for the other two subjects. 07-1888
On February 14, between 9:30 pm and 11:59 pm in the 8100 block of Lockney Avenue, an auto theft occurred. It is unknown how the 1996 Honda Civic was stolen. 07-2105
Arrests:
On February 9 at 11:15 pm in the 7000 block of Westmoreland Avenue, an adult male was arrested and charged with 4th degree burglary, trespassing and possession of CDS paraphernalia after police responded to a call for a suspicious person inside the business. 07-1896
On February 11 at 12:55 am in the 8000 block of Carroll Avenue, an adult male was arrested on an open Montgomery County warrant for violation of probation. 07-1958
On February 11 at 1:00 am in the 7700 block of Maple Avenue, an adult male was arrested and charged with violation of a protective order. 07-1960
On February 11 at 4:00 pm in the 7680 block of New Hampshire Avenue, an adult male was arrested and charged with 2nd degree assault. 07-1986
On February 11 at 10:30 pm in the 7600 block of Piney Branch Road, an adult male was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while impaired by alcohol and following a vehicle too closely. 07-2003
On February 12 at 1:13 am in the 7200 block of New Hampshire Avenue, an adult male was arrested on an open Montgomery County warrant for possession of CDS. 07-2014
On February 15 at 10:46 pm in the 1100 block of University Blvd., a criminal citation for theft under $500.00 (shoplifting) was issued to an adult male. 07-2113

Between February 3 at 11:00 pm and February 4 at 8:00 am in the 7600 block of Hammond Avenue, an auto theft occurred. It is unknown what method was used to steal the 1985 Toyota Camry. 07-1638
On February 4 at 7:46 pm in the 900 block of East-West Highway, an auto theft occurred. The 1994 Volkswagen Golf, was left unlocked with the key in the ignition. 07-1657
On February 5, between 7:00 pm and 9:50 pm in the 1200 block of Kirklynn Avenue, an auto theft occurred. It is unknown how the 1987 Toyota 4Runner was stolen. 07-1729
Arrests:
On February 2 at 11:19 pm in the 700 block of Maplewood Avenue, an adult female was arrested on an open Montgomery County warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of driving while suspended. 07-1582
On February 3 at 12:05 pm in the 7700 block of Chicago Avenue, an adult male was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute CDS, possession of CDS and possession of CDS paraphernalia. 07-1602
On February 4 at 7:25 am in the 7400 block of New Hampshire Avenue, an adult male was arrested on an open Montgomery County warrant for burglary. A criminal citation for theft under $500 was also issued to the subject. 07-1635
On February 7 at 6:35 am in the 8100 block of Roanoke Avenue, an adult male was arrested and charged with 1st degree burglary, theft over $500 and several credit card offenses related to a burglary that occurred on January 26th in the 8100 block of Roanoke Ave. Detectives are continuing to investigate similar residential burglaries in the area to determine whether further charges are possible. 07-1176
On February 6 at 2:45 pm an outstanding Montgomery County/Takoma Park warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of possession of CDS, was served on an adult male being detained in Prince George’s County. 07-1747
On February 8 at 2:10 am in the 7200 block of Carroll Avenue, an adult male was arrested and charged with driving while impaired by alcohol and driving under the influence of alcohol. 07-1814

On January 26, between 9:58 am and 2:30 pm in the 8100 block of Roanoke Avenue, a residential burglary occurred. A basement window was broken to gain entry. Property was taken. 07-1176
On January 26, between 9:40 and 10:30 am at the intersection of Takoma Avenue and Fenton Avenue, an auto theft was attempted. As the owner of the 2000 Chrysler Concorde approached his parked car, he saw an unknown subject inside. When the subject noticed the owner, he threatened the victim, got out of the car and then fled in a green Dodge Caravan. The ignition and door handle were damaged. The victim was not injured. 07-1166
Between January 21, unknown time and January 27 at 12:45 pm in the 7600 block of Maple Avenue, an auto theft was attempted. The door handle of the 2006 Dodge Dakota was damaged in the attempt. 07-1235
Between January 27 at 7:50 pm and January 29 at 8:30 am in the 7500 block of New Hampshire Avenue, a commercial burglary occurred. A piece of paneling under a window was knocked out to gain entry. Property was taken. 07-1346
On January 30, between 3:34 pm and 4:00 pm in the 7600 block of Maple Avenue, an auto theft occurred. Unknown means were used to steal the 1998 Plymouth Breeze. 07-1427
Arrests:
On January 31 at 3:10 pm in the 7500 block of Maple Avenue, an adult male was arrested on an open Montgomery County warrant for failure to appear in court on traffic related charges. 07-1473
On January 31 at 9:50 pm at the intersection of Takoma Avenue and Fenton Street, an adult female was arrested on an open Montgomery County warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of driving while suspended. 07-1491
