On January 5, between 9:00 am and 3:30 pm in the 7100 block of Maple Avenue, a residential burglary occurred. A brick was used to smash a window in the back of the house. Property was taken. 07-206

Between January 4, time unknown and January 5 at 7:53 pm in the 7300 block of Willow Avenue, an auto theft occurred. The 1996 Dodge Caravan was found in D.C. the same night at 11:49 pm. The ignition was damaged. 07-222

Between January 8 at 5:30 pm and January 9 at 12:30 am in the 7100 block of New Hampshire Avenue, an auto theft occurred. It is unknown what method was used to steal the 1989 Toyota Camry. 07-373

On January 8, between 8:30 am and 3:30 pm in the 8100 block of Roanoke Avenue, a residential burglary occurred. It is unknown how entry to the apartment was gained. Property was taken. 07-357

On January 8 at 4:00 pm in the 7400 block of New Hampshire Avenue, a strong armed robbery occurred. The victim, an adult male was sitting in an office where he worked when two subjects entered through the front door, approached the victim and pushed and held him down against a desk while one subject searched the victim’s pockets, removing property. The victim saw two additional subjects standing by the front door. All four fled on foot. The victim was not injured. The subjects were described as black males, wearing jeans and dark hooded jackets. 07-381

On January 10 at 11:09 pm in the 6800 block of New Hampshire Avenue, a commercial burglary occurred. Police responded to an alarm at the store and found the glass in the front door broken. Cash was taken from a register.

Arrests:

On January 7 at 1:25 am in the 100 block of Lee Avenue, a criminal citation for loitering was issued to an adult male. 07-219

On January 6 at 4:05 in the 7500 block of Maple Avenue, an adult female was arrested on an open Montgomery County warrant for theft under $300. 07-266

On January 7 at 10:25 pm at the intersection of New Hampshire Avenue and Sligo Creek Parkway, an adult male was arrested and charged with possession of CDS paraphernalia. 07-308

On January 10 at 8:40 pm in the 7500 block of Maple Avenue, an adult male was arrested on an open warrant for a burglary that occurred at a construction site on the 100 block of Lee Avenue on December 4, 2006. 06-15228

On January 11 at 11:30 pm in the 7600 block of Maple Avenue, an adult male was arrested on an open warrant for trespassing. 07-530

On December 29 at 3:40 pm at the intersection of Wildwood Avenue and Anne Street, an assault occurred. An adult male was walking alone when he was approached by three subjects who assaulted him without warning. He was punched, kicked and pushed to the ground before the subjects fled on foot. The victim was not injured. The subjects were described as black, 18-20 years old, 5'7" tall, 140-160 lbs, medium build, dark complected, wearing all black clothing. 06-16457

On January 2 at 11:08 pm in the 7600 block of New Hampshire Avenue, a commercial burglary occurred. A window was broken to gain entry. Cash and property were taken. 07-73

On January 2, between 11:20 am and 4:30 pm in the 8200 block of Roanoke Avenue, a residential burglary occurred. Entry was gained through an unsecured window. Property was taken. 07-59

On January 3 at 9:50 am in the 1000 block of Heather Avenue, a residential burglary was attempted. A door frame was damaged in the attempt. 07-90

On January 3, between 9:45 am and 11:10 am in the 900 block of Jackson Avenue, a residential burglary occurred. Entry was opened through an unsecured window. Property was taken. 07-91

On January 3, between 10:00 am and 8:00 pm in the 7300 block of Garland Avenue, a residential burglary was attempted. A door screen was damaged in the attempt. 07-108

On January 2 at 10:30 pm in the 7600 block of Maple Avenue, an auto theft occurred. It is unknown what method was used to steal the 2002 Chrysler Sebring. 07-83

Arrests:

On December 29 at 5:00 pm in the 7500 block of Maple Avenue, an adult male was arrested on an open warrant for a charge of disorderly conduct and violation of probation. 06-16456

On January 3 at 12:09 pm in the 7500 block of Maple Avenue, an adult male was arrested on an open warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of driving an uninsured vehicle. 07-93

On January 19 at 7:23 am in the 6900 block of Laurel Avenue, a commercial armed robbery occurred. Two subjects entered a business, displayed handguns and forced the one employee, an adult male, to lay on the floor. After they took cash from the register, they fled on foot. The victim was not injured. The suspects were described as black males, 19 to 25 years old , 5'11" - 6' tall, medium builds and medium complexions, both wearing black jackets, black jeans, black gloves and black ski masks. 07-853

On January 23 between 5:30 am and 6:30 pm in the 8200 block of Roanoke Avenue, an auto theft occurred. It is unknown how the 1997 Honda Accord was stolen. 07-1053

Arrests:

On January 19 at 5:28 pm in the 6300 block of New Hampshire Avenue, an adult male was arrested and charged with theft over $500, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and motor vehicle theft. 07-871

On January 22 at 10:45 am, an adult male being held in Loudon County was served with an open Montgomery County warrant charging him with possession of CDS, possession of CDS paraphernalia and possession of CDS with intent to distribute. 07-980

On January 22 at 9:39 pm in the 1300 block of New Hampshire Avenue, an adult male was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while impaired by alcohol, driving with a suspended license, and driving with a revoked license. 07-995
