Arrests:
On August 20 at 1:22 pm in the 7700 block of Maple Avenue, a juvenile female was arrested and charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and driving without a license. 06-10425

On August 21 at 11:26 pm in the 7700 block of Maple Avenue, an adult male ws arrested on an open Montgomery County warrant for possession of CDS. 06-10481

On August 22 at 10:22 pm in the 500 block of Albany Avenue, a criminal citation for possession of CDS paraphernalia was issued to a female juvenile. 06-10527

Crime Reports
On August 18 between 7:00 pm and 7:30 pm in the 7500 block of Jackson Avenue, an auto theft occurred. The 2001 Honda Odyssey was left unattended and unlocked with the key in the ignition. 06-10379

On August 20, between 5:14 am and 5:20 am in the 6400 block of New Hampshire Avenue, a commercial burglary occurred. A surveillance tape from the business showed a subject kicking the front glass door several times, breaking it then entering the business and taking items. The subject was described as a black male, wearing a blue or black hat, blue tee shirt and blue jeans. 06-10430

Between August 21 at 11:00 pm and August 22 at 8:00 am in the 900 block of University Blvd., three thefts from autos occurred. Windows were tampered with in order to gain entry to the 2001 Toyota Tundra, 1995 Dodge Ram and 1998 Ford Club Wagon. The owners’ personal items were found scattered about in all three vehicles, but nothing was reported taken. 06-10499, 10501, 10502

Between August 22 at 9:45 pm and August 23 at 9:45 am in the 7300 block of New Hampshire Avenue, an auto theft occurred. It is unknown how the 1997 Toyota Camry was stolen. 06-10534

Blotter 08.04-10.06

Arrests:
On August 4 at 12:16 pm in the 6300 block of New Hampshire Avenue, an adult male was arrested and charged with theft under $500. 06-9626

On August 6 at 5:25 am in the 7500 block of Maple Avenue, an adult male was arrested and charged with 2nd degree assault after a report of a domestic assault was made to police. 06-9730

Crime Reports:
On August 4 at 5:20 am in the 900 block of Merrimac Drive, an armed robbery occurred. An adult male was waiting at a bus stop when he was approached from behind by a subject who placed a knife to the victim’s throat. The victim struggled with the subject before the subject took the victim’s property, pushed him to the ground and fled on foot. The victim received non-life threatening injuries in the struggle. The subject was described as a Hispanic male, 20-25, 5'6", 150lbs., slim build, medium complexion, long black hair, wearing a white shirt and blue jeans. 06-9617

On August 4, between 3:00 am and 8:00 am in the 1100 block of Jackson Avenue, an auto theft occurred. It is unknown what method was used to steal the 1995 Jeep Cherokee. 06-9631

On August 4, between 2:55 pm and 9:45 pm in the 1200 block of Myrtle Avenue, an auto theft was attempted. A door lock and the ignition of the 2005 Chrysler Sebring were damaged in the attempt. 06-9637

Between August 3 at 12:00 am and August 4 at 9:30 pm in the unit block of Manor Circle, an auto theft occurred. It is unknown what method was used to steal the 1987 Volvo SW. 06-9643

On August 5 at 4:23 am in the 6700 block of Cockerille Avenue, an arson occurred. A 1976 Mercedes 300D was set on fire and destroyed. The incident is under investigation by a Fire Department Investigator. 06-9662

Between August 4 at 9:30 pm and August 5 at 1:50 pm in the 6700 block of Conway Avenue, an auto theft occurred. The 1992 Honda Accord was stolen by unknown means. 06-9707

Between August 4 at 9:30 am and August 5 at 4:00 pm in the 7100 block of Poplar Avenue, an auto theft occurred. The 1995 Honda Accord was stolen by unknown means. 06-9712

Arrests:

On July 28 at 1:15 am in the 7700 block of Maple Avenue, a criminal citation for trespassing was issued to an adult male. 06-9248

On July 28 at 4:00 am in the 7400 block of New Hampshire Avenue, criminal citations for possession of CDS paraphernalia were issued to two adult males. 06-9251

On July 28 at 1:40 pm at the intersection of Fenton St. and Philadelphia Ave., an adult female was arrested on an open Montgomery County warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of driving while suspended. 06-9267

On July 31 at 12:01 am in the 7600 block of Maple Avenue, an adult male was arrested on an open Montgomery County warrant for failure to appear in court on a civil charge of non-payment of child support. 06-9426

Arrests cont'd:
On July 31 at 1:30 am in the 1100 block of Jackson Avenue, an adult male was arrested and charged with 2nd degree assault after a report of a domestic assault. 06-9430

On August 1 at 9:35 pm in the 7400 block of Maple Avenue, a criminal citation for trespassing was issued to an adult male. 06-9513

On August 1 at 2:40 am in the 7700 block of Maple Avenue, an adult male was arrested on an outstanding Montgomery County warrant for theft under $500. 06-9471

On August 2 at 11:47 pm in the 7700 block of Maple Avenue, an auto theft in progress was reported to police. An officer responding to the scene saw the 1999 Dodge Caravan being driven away with several subjects inside. The driver fled from the officer in the vehicle and officers followed it into Washington, D.C. where MPDC officers were able to stop the vehicle. The driver fled on foot. Three juvenile male occupants were arrested on the scene. The identity of the driver, also a juvenile is known and charges are pending. 06-9558

Crime Reports:
On July 28 at 2:30 pm in the 7600 block of Carroll Avenue, an assault occurred. Two adult males began arguing and one of the males punched the other. The victim was not injured. 06-9268
On August 2 at 4:26 am in the 7000 block of Carroll Avenue, a commercial burglary occurred. Officers responding to an alarm found the front glass door smashed. A review of security video showed a subject kicking the glass door then throwing an object at the glass, breaking it. He then stepped inside, removed property and fled on foot. The subject was described as a black male, medium build, light complexion, short hair wearing a blue tee shirt, blue jean shorts and black shoes. 06-9525

On August 2 between 6:00 pm and 9:56 pm in the 7500 block of Maple Avenue, an auto theft was attempted. It is unknown how entry to the 2005 Dodge Caravan was made. The ignition was damaged. 06-9553
