Arrests:
On February 19 at 1:25 am in the 7600 block of Piney Branch Road, citations were issued to an adult male for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Exceeding the Maximum Speed and Driving on a Suspended License.
On February 20 at 6:15 pm in the 1100 block of University Blvd., criminal citations were issued to an adult male for Theft Under $500 and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. 05-2383
Arrests (cont'd)
On February 21 at 6:30 am in the 7500 block of Maple Avenue, an adult male was charged with Attempted Rape, 1st Degree Assault , 2nd Degree Assault and False Imprisonment for an assault that occurred in the 8100 block of Hammond Avenue the previous day. 05-2419
On February 23 at 10:26 pm in the 300 block of Elm Avenue, an adult female and an adult male were charged with Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. 05-2527
Crime Reports
On February 22 at 2:34 am in the 1300 block of University Blvd., an armed robbery occurred. An adult male was approached by two subjects in a black Jeep. The subjects exited the vehicle, produced handguns and demanded money. After taking the victim's property, the subjects fled in the vehicle. The victim was not injured. Both subjects were described as black males. 30-35 years old, 6' tall, slim build, brown eyes, light complexion, wearing black jackets, blue jeans and white baseball caps. 05-2433

Responding to a request to check the welfare of a resident, Takoma Park Police located Pamela Bricker, 50, in her Kennebec Avenue residence on Monday, Feb. 21. She was found deceased.
Ms. Bricker was a well-regarded and versatile vocalist, performing throughout the Washington area. She was a current nominee for an award from the Washington Area Music Association and previously had received several WAMMIE awards. She is survived by family in North Carolina.
The medical examiner has ruled the death suicide by asphyxiation.
(2.22.05) Early today Takoma Park detectives arrested a 23-year-old city resident for attempted rape.
On Monday, the victim reported an assault that took place early Sunday. After interviews and investigation, the suspect was charged with attempted first-degree rape, first and second degree assault, and false imprisonment. The suspect and victim each leased separate rooms in a house in the 8100 block of Hammond Avenue where the assault was alleged to have occurred.
No further details are available for release at this time.

Crime Reports:
On February 11 at 10:00 pm in the 900 block of Elm Avenue, an auto theft occurred. It is unknown what method was used to steal the 2002 Toyota Camry. 05-2023
Between February 12 at 5:00 pm and February 13 at 10:00 in the 6900 block of Carroll Avenue two attempted commercial burglaries occurred. The front door locks of two offices were damaged in the attempts. 05-2124,25
February 13, at 11:10 am in the 7400 block of New Hampshire Avenue, an attempted armed robbery occurred. The victim, an adult female who was at work, was approached by a subject who displayed a knife and made demands which were not understood by the victim. The suspect fled when the victim screamed. The victim was not injured and no property was taken. The suspect was described as a black male, 25 years old, 5'8", 180 lbs, medium build, medium complexion, short black hair, wearing an orange jacket and blue jeans. 05-2087

On February 4 at 1:55 am at the intersection of Piney Branch Road and Philadelphia Avenue, an adult male was charged with Possession of CDS Paraphernalia and traffic related offenses. 05-1631
On February 6 at 2:38 am in the 8400 block of Piney Branch Road, three adult males were charged with trespassing. 05-1732
Crime Reports:
Between February 3 at 6:30 pm and February 4 at 11:30 am in the 7400 block of New Hampshire Avenue, an auto theft occurred. It is unknown what methods were used to steal the 2002 Dodge Intrepid. 05-1651
On February 4 at 10:02 pm in the 200 block of Park Avenue, an armed robbery occurred. An adult female exiting her vehicle was approached by a subject who displayed a large knife and demanded her purse. The subject ran off with the victim's purse after she threw it at him. The victim was not injured. The suspect was described as a black male in his early 20's, 5'10, slim build, medium complexion, wearing a black jacket, black sweat shirt with a hood and dark pants. 05-1666
On February 5, between 3:00 am and 7:00 am in the 7300 block of New Hampshire Avenue, an auto theft occurred. It is unknown what methods were used to steal the 1996 Dodge Caravan. 05-1686
Between February 2 at 9:30 pm and February 6 at 9:10 am in the 700 block of Sligo Creek Parkway, an auto theft occurred. It is unknown what methods were used to steal the 1995 Ford Windstar. 05-1742
On February 10, between 8:00 am and 6:55 pm in the 300 block of Ethan Allen Avenue, a residential burglary occurred. A basement window and door were broken in order to gain entry. Property was taken. 05-1966

On Feb. 4, at about 10 p.m., an armed robbery was reported. A woman exiting her vehicle in a driveway in the 200 block of Park Avenue, was approached by a man displaying a weapon. Once he took property from her, he fled on foot up Park, towards Philadelphia Avenue.
A canine track was unsuccessful in locating a suspect. Officers stopped several possible subjects in nearby locations but did not identify a suspect.
Some property was recovered later on Grant Avenue. The suspect is described as a black male, 5"10-5"11, approximately 20-25 years of age, wearing a black jacket, black hood over his head, and dark pants.

On January 29 at 9:45 pm in the 8600 block of Flower Avenue, an adult male was charged with 2nd Degree Assault, Resisting Arrest and Disorderly Conduct.
On January 30 at 5:45 pm in the 8500 block of Flower Avenue, adult male was charged with 2nd Degree Assault and Reckless Endangerment after officers responded to a call for an assault in progress. 05-1381
Crime Reports:
On January 29, at 11:10 PM in the 6400 block of New Hampshire Avenue, an armed robbery occurred. Two subjects forced their way into the locked enclosure of a business during the shift change and forced the two employees, one male and one female, to lay on the ground. One subject displayed a handgun. The subjects took cash and property before fleeing on foot. The victims were not injured. The suspects were described as black males 30-35 years old, medium build, medium complexion, wearing black masks, black coats, one wearing blue jeans, the other brown khaki pants. 05-1363
On January 31, between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm in the 100 block of Lee Avenue, a residential burglary occurred. It is unknown how entry to the home was gained. Property was taken.
On February 1, between 12:03 pm and 2:30 pm in the 7200 block of 13th Avenue, a residential burglary occurred. Entry to the home was gained through an unlocked window. Property was taken. 05-1479
