FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

On July 22, 2009, Gerard Jason Harris, 25, of Washington, D.C., was arrested for 1st degree burglary for a burglary that occurred on December 18, 2008, in the 1100 block of Linden Avenue, Takoma Park, Maryland. On December 18, 2008, through investigation, Harris became the prime suspect for a burglary in which stolen credit cards were used to make purchases. An arrest warrant was issued for Harris and several attempts were made to locate him by Takoma Park Police, and the United States Marshall’s, all with negative results. Harris was located by Park Police in Washington, D.C. on July 22, arrested and charged as a fugitive from justice. He is currently being held at the District of Columbia Jail pending extradition to the Montgomery County Detention Center to face burglary charges.
