Chief Ronald A. Ricucci of the Takoma Park Police Department announced today that the four officers assigned to the Tactical Enforcement Unit (TEU) participated in Operation Falcon (June 22 - 26, 2009) - a crackdown on Felony Fugitives in Maryland, which was part of the U.S. Marshals Service. We participated with Montgomery County Police, Montgomery County Sheriff, Prince George’s County Police, Anne Arundel County Police, Howard County Police, Parole and Probation and Metropolitan Police. This task force targeted felony fugitives with warrants. These suspected criminals commit crimes in all jurisdictions and know no boundaries. In all, 170 suspects were arrested and 212 arrest warrants were served. This operation, which directly impacts our City, has been deemed a success!
