Citizens have reported seeing teenagers peeling bark from a tree at 600 Kennebec Avenue. After investigation, the 16 inch oak on Kennebec Avenue, plus another tree in front of 641 Houston Avenue, have been severely damaged. It appears to look like a claw hammer has been pounded on the bark and then the claws used to start peeling it off. This vandalism will kill the trees, which are both valued approximately at a couple thousand dollars. Patrols will be increased in these areas.
