Weekly Crime Report: April 2 - 9, 2009

T1 Beat:

Robbery/Carjacking
An armed robbery/carjacking occurred Tuesday, April 7 at 9:10 p.m. in the 400 block of Beech Avenue. The victim, a Pizza Movers delivery driver, was called to the 400 block of Beech Avenue for a staged robbery. As the victim approached the residence, a group of 5 B/Ms produced semiautomatic pistols and demanded property. Two suspects approached the victim’s vehicle and began searching for additional property. The suspects ordered the second victim from the vehicle and all 5 suspects entered the victim’s 2003 gold Toyota Corolla and fled on Beech Avenue toward Sycamore Avenue. Suspect 1: B/M, 18-20, stocky build, bushy type Afro, wearing black sweat pants; Suspect 2: B/M, late teens, thin, short hair, black clothing; Suspect 3: B/M, mid 20’s, thin, short black hair; Suspect 4: B/M, 17-18, 5’7-5’8, short neat hair; Suspect 5: B/M, 5’7-5’8, wearing green jacket. All 5 suspects armed with black semi-automatic handguns.

T3 Beat:

Larceny – From Auto
900 block of Larch Avenue, Saturday, April 4 between 1:01 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. No forced entry. Property taken.

7100 block of 13th Avenue, Thursday, April 9. Officers responded to theft in progress, stopped suspect, and recovered victim’s property. Adult male arrested and charged with Theft under $100.

Arrests:
On Friday, April 3 at 12:21 p.m. in the 7600 block of New Hampshire Avenue, an adult male was arrested and charged with a Liquor Violation.

On Friday, April 3 at 12:36 p.m. in the 1300 block of University Boulevard, and adult male was arrested and charged with Trespassing.
