On February 23, 2009, Takoma Park Police responded to the 8100 block of Flower Avenue, at approximately 1:45 p.m., for reports of a burglary in progress. The victim arrived home to find her rear basement door open. She went to her neighbors and called police. The suspect fled the residence on foot before police arrived. The suspect is described as a black male, 35-40 years old, 5’10 to 5’11, approximately 180 pounds, medium complexion, wearing a green baseball cap, a green sweater-type jacket and possibly green pants.
