On February 18, 2009, at approximately 10:24 p.m., Takoma Park Police responded to the 7100 block of Poplar Avenue for reports of an attempt robbery. The victim was entering his residence through the side entrance when he was approached by four males (non-white), one who looked to be holding a handgun. The victim ran into his residence through the side entrance and then exited through the front door and observed the suspects exiting his driveway. The suspects ran east on Poplar Avenue towards Elm Avenue. No property was taken. There were no injuries. There is no suspect description. Investigation continues under case #09009047.
