An armed robbery occurred at the intersection of Westmoreland Avenue and Walnut Avenue on Saturday, December 20, at 5:45 p.m. The victim advised that she was walking home from the metro when three black males approached her with a small dark handgun. The first subject is described as a black male, approximately 60, wearing a dark coat and a black ski mask armed with a small dark handgun. The second subject is described as a black male wearing a white coat and a black ski mask. The third subject is described as a black male wearing a black ski mask. The victim was not injured. Property was taken.
Larceny From Auto
6400 block of Sligo Mill Road, Friday, December 19 between 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Forced entry. No property taken. S1: B/M, 58-60, heavy build, dreadlocks/twists. S2: B/M, no further description.

Robbery
An armed robbery occurred in the 7700 block of Maple Avenue, Wednesday, December 24 at 10:58 p.m. Victim was walking when approached from behind by two male suspects. Suspect 1 grabbed victim by the arm and Suspect 2 began to hit victim in the head. Suspect 1 demanded victims property and Suspect 2 hit the victim once more before fleeing to a whit van. Both suspects are described as B/M, 20-25 years of age, 60-61, medium build
Aggravated Assault
An aggravated assault and officer involved shooting occurred in the 700 block of Hudson Avenue, Monday, December 22 at 12:13 a.m. The Takoma Park Police Department received a call for a woman crying in an apartment. A veteran female officer responded to the scene. She located the apartment and heard a commotion outside the door. The officer demanded entry and was refused. She advised dispatch that she needed back-up assistance and was going to make entry. She made a forced entry and confronted a female victim covered in blood and a male suspect holding a knife to her throat. The victim had multiple lacerations to her head and other parts of her body. The officer demanded that the suspect drop his weapon, and when he refused, she shot him twice. One of the bullets went through the suspect striking the victim in her arm. Both victim and suspect were transported to the Med Star unit at the Washington Hospital Center where they were later released. An adult male was arrested and charged with Attempted 1st Degree Murder, 1st Degree Assault, 2nd Degree Burglary, Violation of Protective Order, False Imprisonment, and Reckless Endangerment.

Larceny- From Auto
Two larceny from auto occurred between Friday, December 26 at 5:30 p.m. and Saturday, December 26 at 4:11 a.m.: 1000 block of Anne Street and 900 block of University Boulevard. Suspect(s) broke vehicle windows. No property taken.
Auto Theft
7600 block of New Hampshire Avenue, Sunday, December 21 between 3:45 p.m. and 3:52 p.m. Attempt only. 03 Dodge Ram.
6800 Prince Georges Avenue, Sunday, December 28 between 8:30 p.m. and 9:25 p.m. 02 Dodge Caravan.
Arrests:
On Saturday, December 20 at 3:00 a.m. in the 1300 block of University Boulevard, an adult male was arrested and charged with Malicious Destruction of Property over $500.
On Saturday, December 20 at 2:29 p.m. in the 7500 block of Maple Avenue, an adult male was arrested and charged with Robbery Residential Gun. *Related to the December 16 robbery in the 7500 block of Maple Avenue.
On Wednesday, December 24 at 2:54 a.m. at the intersection of Flower Avenue and Piney Branch Road, an adult male was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence and several traffic offenses.
On Wednesday, December 24 at 4:41 a.m. in the 7000 block of Carroll Avenue, an adult male and an adult female were arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Assault.
On Saturday, December 27 at 12:33 a.m. in the 7300 block of Piney Branch Road, an adult male was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence and several traffic offenses.
On Saturday, December 28 at 4:46 a.m. at the intersection of Ethan Allen Avenue and Carroll Avenue, an adult male was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence, Possession With Intent Not Marijuana, Possession Not Marijuana, Destruction of Property, and several traffic offenses.
