Larceny – From Auto
6400 block of Westmoreland Avenue, Sunday, November 2 at 10:32 a.m. No forced entry. Property taken. Suspects: 3 B/M’s, 5’8-5’11, then build, short hair, wearing dark hoodies. Driver had long corn rows or dreads. Vehicle: light green late 90’s Honda Accord, D.C. temporary tag.
T2 Beat:
Robbery/Shooting
A shooting occurred in the 7700 block of Maple Avenue, Tuesday, November 4 at approximately 12:59 a.m. Officers responded to the Essex House apartment complex for sounds of gunshots on the second floor. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim bleeding from a gunshot wound. Victim indicated he was robbed and shot by two B/M’s who approached him and struck him in the head with a handgun. A struggle ensued and the victim was shot. Suspects took property and fled the scene. S1: B/M, dark complexion, approximately 5’11, dreadlocks and/or twists. S2: B/M, dark complexion. Both suspects wearing dark clothing.

7500 block of Maple Avenue, Tuesday, November 4 between 3:00 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. No forced entry. Property taken.
Larceny – From Auto
Between Thursday, October 30 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, November 2 at 8:00 a.m., four thefts from vehicles and one attempt theft from vehicle occurred: 800 block Jackson Avenue, 7500 block of Hancock Avenue (2), Unit block of Sherman Avenue, 40 block of Philadelphia Avenue. Four of five vehicles unlocked and property taken from four vehicles.

Robbery
A strong-arm robbery occurred in the 7600 block of New Hampshire Avenue, Red Apple Market, Saturday, November 1 at 9:07 p.m. Two suspects exited vehicle, assaulted victim, took victim’s property, then fled. Witness stated seeing a dark colored vehicle in the rear of the business occupied by a B/F driver with short dreads and/or corn rows, and a B/M in the passenger seat. Suspect vehicle believed to be a dark (possibly blue/black/green) Honda Accord station wagon with alloy wheels.*
A strong-arm robbery occurred in the 7600 block of New Hampshire Avenue, Citibank lot, Sunday, November 2 at 12:05 p.m. Victim advised she left the ATM and entering her vehicle when B/M came from rear of her vehicle and assaulted her. Two other B/M’s approached on foot and demanded victim’s property. White colored, unknown make and model vehicle pulled up driven by a B/F with long hair (possibly braids or weave) and all three suspects jumped into vehicle and fled. S1: B/M, skinny, approximately 5’6-5’8, short hair, wearing black t-shirt.*
A strong-arm robbery occurred in the 6800 block of New Hampshire Avenue, Best Nails II, Sunday, November 2 at 7:05 p.m. Victims indicated they were securing the doors to the business when two B/M’s approached from behind. Suspects assaulted one of the victims, took property from both, then fled in a dark-colored, unknown make and model vehicle. S1: B/M, 5’6, wearing a red shirt, black pants, and black do-rag/knit cap; S2: B/M, 6’0, wearing a white t-shirt, black pants, and black do-rag/knit cap; S3: B/M, 6’0, unknown clothing, black do-rag/knit cap.*
*Takoma Park Police believe all three strong-arm robberies linked.
A strong-arm robbery occurred in the 1300 block of University Boulevard, Monday, November 3 at 4:25 p.m. Victim walking eastbound through retail parking lot when approached by two suspects. Suspects called out gang identification, assaulted the victim and took property. Suspect fled scene on a bicycle. Both suspects described as H/M’s, 17-18 years of age, 5’7-5’9, wearing white Nike sneakers and black baseball caps.
Assault
An aggravated assault occurred in the 1000 block of University Boulevard, Friday, October 31 at 6:00 p.m. Victim stated that defendant pulled out a handgun and pointed the weapon at her. An adult female was arrested and charged with 1st degree assault, 2nd degree assault, and Reckless Endangerment.
Larceny – From Auto
7200 block of 13th Place, between Friday, October 31 at 11:00 p.m. and Saturday, November 1 at 9:15 a.m. Attempted forced entry. No property taken.
7400 block of New Hampshire Avenue, between Saturday, November 1 at 11:30 p.m. and Sunday, November 2 at 1:30 p.m. Forced entry. Property taken.
Arrests:
On Saturday, November 1 at 10:29 a.m. in the 1300 block of University Boulevard, an adult male was arrested on an open warrant through Takoma Park for Failure to Appear – Theft under $100.
On Saturday, November 1 at 10:36 p.m. in the 7600 block of New Hampshire Avenue, two adult males were arrested and charged with Possession of an Open Alcohol Container and Urinating in Public.
