COMMUNITY ADVISORY - Strong Armed Robbery

On November 2, 2008, at approximately 12:05 p.m., Takoma Park Police responded to the 7600 block of New Hampshire Avenue at the Citibank lot for reports of a citizen strong armed robbery. The victim advised that she had just left the ATM from making a deposit and was getting into her vehicle when a black male came from the rear of her vehicle and assaulted her. Two other black males approached on foot demanding property from the victim. The victim was assaulted a second time and property was taken. A white colored, unknown make and model vehicle then pulled up being driven by a black female with long hair (possibly braids or a weave) and all three suspects jumped into the vehicle. The vehicle then fled in an unknown direction. The first suspect is described as a black male, skinny, approximately 5’6 to 5’8, short hair, wearing a black t-shirt. The second and third suspects are described as black males with no further identifying information. The fourth suspect is described as a black female (driver), with long braids or a weave, with no further identifying information. The victim did not sustain any major injuries.

Takoma Park Police believe this strong armed robbery may be linked to the one that occurred on November 1, 2008, at approximately 9:07 p.m., also in the 7600 block of New Hampshire Avenue at the Red Apple Market.
