Robbery
An armed robbery occurred in the 6600 block of Poplar Avenue, Sunday, August 10 at 11:32 p.m. Suspect followed victim in motor vehicle, as victim parked his vehicle the suspect approached the victim and brandished a handgun. Suspect demanded property then fled on foot to awaiting vehicle. Suspect: B/M, 20-25 years of age, wearing a striped multi-colored t-shirt, tan shorts and tennis shoes.
Larceny
7000 block of Carroll Avenue, Saturday, August 9 between 4:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Suspect announced himself as a maintenance employee, entered victims apartment and stole property. Suspect: B/M, mid-40s, wearing light blue dirty jeans.

Arrests:
Through the course of an investigation for two auto thefts from the 6500 block of Kansas Lane that occurred on July 18, 2008, a City of Takoma Park Code Enforcement employee was developed as a suspect. The adult male was arrested and charged with two counts each of Theft over $500, Motor Vehicle Theft, Unauthorized Removal, and Rogue and Vagabond.
On Friday, August 8 at 4:00 p.m. in the 7500 block of Maple Avenue, an adult male was arrested on an open warrant for 2nd Degree Assault and False Imprisonment.
On Sunday, August 10 at 1:45 a.m. in the 7400 block of New Hampshire Avenue, an adult male was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence.
On Tuesday, August 12 at 4:19 p.m. in the 6300 block of New Hampshire Avenue, an adult male was arrested and charged with Unlawful Taking of a Motor Vehicle, Theft over $500, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
On Wednesday, August 13 at 9:51 a.m. in the 8500 block of Flower Avenue, an adult male was arrested on an open warrant for 2nd Degree Sex Offense.
On Wednesday, August 13 at 3:42 p.m. in the 1100 block of University Boulevard, an adult male was arrested on an open warrant.
On Wednesday, August 13 at 5:09 p.m. in the 8200 block of Carroll Avenue, an adult male was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana, Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer, Failure to Obey Lawful Order, and Resisting Arrest.
On Wednesday, August 13 at 11:21 p.m. at the intersection of Poplar Avenue and Spring Avenue two juvenile males were arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct and Possession of Marijuana.
