The Takoma Park Police Department has been receiving calls for suspicious persons who are claiming to be alarm company salespersons. Our investigation has revealed that two alarm companies have been soliciting in the City without a permit. We have located those salespersons and advised them to stop soliciting without a permit. Thank you for calling us and assisting us with this problem. Solicitors must display a permit if they come to your door. Please call the police at 301-270-1100 if someone appears suspicious and/or does not have a permit.
