FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Chief Ronald A. Ricucci from the Takoma Park Police Department announces the arrest of Kenneth Rawlings, 31, of Lanham, Maryland, for possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, possession with the intent to distribute marijuana, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On July 22, 2008, at approximately 12:38 p.m., in the 1300 block of University Blvd., officers in the Tactical Enforcement Unit (TEU) were on patrol and conducted a routine traffic stop. Probable cause was developed for a search and Rawlings was found to be in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia . The quantity of Controlled Dangerous Substance indicated an intent to distribute. Rawlings was arrested and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit for an appearance before a District Court Commissioner.
