Assault
An aggravated assault occurred in the 7400 block of New Hampshire Avenue, Saturday, May 24 between 2:00 a.m. and 2:25 a.m. A verbal altercation between two rooms at the Econo Lodge resulted in a fight involving knives and bottles. During the altercation, Vatos Locos gang members smashed out the glass to a hotel window and kicked the door in an attempt to enter the room. An adult female was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest, and Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon. One victim suffered a non-life threatening laceration to the head. A second victim was not seriously injured.
A domestic assault occurred in the 1200 block of Holton Lane, Saturday, May 24 at 9:00 a.m. Suspect struck victim in the mouth and on her cheek/eye area during a verbal dispute.
An aggravated assault occurred in the 7600 block of New Hampshire Avenue, Monday, May 26 at 9:45 p.m. Property manager at listed address approached homeless subject sleeping in truck in front of business. Victim told the suspect that he needed to exit the vehicle, which did not belong to suspect, and leave the area. Suspect suddenly exited the truck and lunged at victim with a silver and black switchblade. Suspect made verbal threats to victim then chased victim around car while swinging the switchblade. Victim was able to escape without injuries. Suspect then fled the scene. Suspect: H/M, wearing blue collared shirt, khakis.
Larceny
1100 block of University Boulevard, Safeway, Monday, May 26 at 2:00 p.m. Defendant attempted to flee store without paying for items. An adult male was arrested and charged with Theft Under $500 and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Larceny – From Auto
7800 block of Kennewick Avenue, between Friday, May 23 at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, May 24 at 10:00 a.m. No forced entry. Property taken.
Arrests:
On Friday, May 23 at 11:06 p.m. in the 7400 block of New Hampshire Avenue, two adult males and an adult female were arrested and charged with Possession With Intent to Distribute Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
On Saturday, May 24 at 6:20 p.m. in the 1300 block of University Boulevard, an adult male was arrested and charged with Urinating in Public.
On Saturday, May 24 at 6:38 p.m. in the 1100 block of University Boulevard, an adult male was arrested and charged with Possession of an Open Alcohol Container.
On Saturday, May 24 at 10:41 p.m. in the 7600 block of New Hampshire Avenue, two juvenile males were arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana.
On Sunday, May 25 at 12:21 a.m. in the 7100 block of New Hampshire Avenue, an adult male was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.
On Monday, May 26 at 1:15 p.m. in the 7600 block of New Hampshire Avenue, two adult males were arrested and charged with Possession of an Open Alcohol Container.
