On May 23, 2008, at approximately 11:06 p.m., Takoma Park Police were on patrol in the 7400 block of New Hampshire Avenue, Takoma Park, Maryland. Officers came into contact with Dung Nguyen, 36, of Silver Spring, Maryland, who was in possession of marijuana. Nguyen was placed under arrest for the possession of marijuana, and a search incident to arrest revealed Nguyen was also in possession of cocaine. Investigation led officers to a room at the Quality Inn where they found a large amount of crack cocaine. Khoi Huynh, 40, of Beltsville, Maryland, and Eric Chisholm, 34, of Hyattsville, Maryland, were also arrested on multiple charges. The quantity of cocaine and the drug paraphernalia indicated an intent to distribute. All three subjects were charged with possession with an intent to distribute cocaine, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Nguyen was also charged with possession of marijuana. The subjects were taken to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit for an appearance before a District Court Commissioner.
