On May 7, 2008, at approximately 1:37 p.m., Takoma Park Police responded to the 7600 block of New Hampshire Avenue for reports of a domestic dispute. While speaking with the suspect, he fled on foot and a pursuit was initiated. During the pursuit, the suspect tossed some drug paraphernalia that was retrieved by officers. Upon being apprehended, a search of the suspect’s person revealed he was in possession of drugs and additional paraphernalia. The suspect was identified as Tracy Darnell Thorne, 30, of Washington, D.C. Thorne was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, possession of crack cocaine and possession with intent to distribute. He was transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit for an appearance before a District Court Commissioner.
