FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
In connection with the attempted first degree murder that occurred in the 8200 block of Roanoke Avenue on March 12, Reginald Lamont Cooper, 32, fled the area, but was arrested in New Mexico by the United States Marshalls. Upon waiving extradition, Cooper was transported back to Maryland. On April 28, the Takoma Park Police Department assumed custody of Cooper from the United States Marshalls at the Baltimore Federal District Court. Cooper was transported to the Montgomery County Detention Center, Central Processing Unit. Cooper’s bond hearing was held on April 29, and he is currently being held on a “no bond” status.
