FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
On April 16th at approximately 6:45 p.m., units responded to Cherry Avenue at the intersection of Sligo Creek Parkway for reports of a six year old pedestrian struck. Investigation revealed that the child was skateboarding downhill from an apartment parking lot and struck the rear passenger side of a pick up truck traveling southbound on Cherry Avenue. The mother was on the scene, and the driver of the vehicle remained on the scene. The child was taken to MedStar and is listed in critical condition. No charges have been filed against the driver at this time.
