Chief Ronald A. Ricucci from the Takoma Park Police Department announces the arrest of Duane Means, 19, of no fixed address.

On March 5, 2008, an arrest warrant was served on Means at the Central Processing Unit charging him with First Degree Burglary, Malicious Destruction of Property, and Theft Under $500, all of which occurred on September 5, 2007. Means has also been charged in Fairfax County, Virginia, the District of Columbia and by the Montgomery County, Maryland, Police Silver Spring District for burglary. Through investigation, detectives were able to link Means to other burglaries that have occurred in the area, as well as close out several cases for the Hyattsville City Police Department in Maryland. The investigation is on-going involving multiple jurisdictions. Means is currently being held at the Montgomery County Central Processing Facility in Clarksburg, Maryland on a $25,000 bond.
