On January 11 at 10:30 am in the 7600 block of New Hampshire Avenue, an armed robbery occurred. A subject entered a store, demanded money from the lone female employee and inferred he was armed. The employee was ordered to stay in an employee bathroom with the door shut. When she looked out after several minutes, the subject was gone. The victim was not injured. It is believed that the subject was a former employee. A warrant is pending. 08002167
On January 11, between 12:10 pm and 12:20 pm in the 1300 block of Holton Lane, a vandalism to and theft from auto occurred. A vent window of the 1997 Saturn sedan was broken. Property was taken. 08002175
On January 11, between 7:45 am and 5:20 pm in the 400 block of Mississippi Avenue, a residential burglary occurred. Entry was gained by breaking a ground floor window. Property was taken. 08002252
Between December 27 at 8:00 am and January 12 at 10:00 pm in the 6700 block of Poplar Avenue, a residential burglary occurred. A window was broken to gain entry. Property was taken. 08002485
Between January 12 at 7:00 pm and January 13 at 5:30 am in the 7500 block of New Hampshire Avenue, a 2002 Mercedes-Benz E320 was stolen by unknown means. 08002527
On January 13 at 3:22 pm in the 6400 block of New Hampshire Avenue, a theft from auto occurred. An adult female was inside a gas station when she saw a subject enter her unlocked vehicle, which was parked at a pump, and remove her purse. The subject, described as a black male, 5'11", 185 lbs, short braids, wearing a black jacket and blue jeans, fled in a dark blue Jaguar. 08002605
On January 13 at 3:25 pm in the 6900 block of New Hampshire Avenue, a theft from auto occurred. An adult female entered her car after pumping gas and noticed that her purse which had been on the passenger seat, was gone and the passenger door, which had been left unlocked, was ajar. The victim had seen a female subject standing by a dark green vehicle at a nearby pump, acting suspiciously before the theft. 08002610
On January 13, between 3:30 pm and 6:47 pm in the 7100 block of Sycamore Avenue, a residential burglary occurred. A glass pane in a kitchen door was broken, which allowed the burglar to reach in and unlock the door with the key that had been left in the lock . Property was taken. 08002633
On January 14 at 7:00 pm in the 7600 block of New Hampshire Avenue, an armed robbery occurred. Two subjects entered a store, spoke briefly with employees and then physically attacked the two employees, an adult female and adult male. One of the subjects picked up a pair of scissors and threatened the female employee while demanding she open the register. The subjects fled before taking anything, after one employee set off an alarm. The victims were slightly injured. The subjects were described as white Hispanic males, approximately 25 years old. One was 6', 180 lbs., had long side burns and a large scar on the left side of his neck, wearing a blue hooded coat. The second was 5'10", 180 lbs., wearing a grey jacket and a yellow hat. 08002852
On January 13, between 8:20 am and 7:15 pm in the unit block of Barclay Avenue, a residential burglary occurred. Entry was gained through an unlocked door. Property was taken. 08002892
On January 14 between 1:30 pm and 9:30 pm in the 6500 block of Westmoreland Avenue, a residential burglary occurred. Entry was made through a window in the rear of the house. Property was taken. 08002897
Between January 13 at 3:00 pm and January 15 at 5:00 pm in the 6500 block of Allegheny Avenue, a vandalism to and theft from auto occurred. A window of the 1994 Honda Civic was damaged. Property was stolen. 08003080

On January 12 at 2:19 am in the 8500 block of Flower Avenue, an adult male was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. 08002340
On January 12 at 12:30 pm at the intersection of Takoma Avenue and Buffalo Avenue, an adult male was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while suspended. 08002393
On January 13 at 11:55 am in the 7500 block of Carroll Avenue, an adult male was arrested on an open warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of auto theft. 08002561
On January 14 at 1:40 am at the intersection of Ethan Allen Avenue and Jackson Avenue, an adult male was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and driving while impaired by alcohol and several traffic related offenses. 08002661
On January 14 at 2:04 pm in the 6300 block of New Hampshire Avenue, an adult male was arrested and charged with theft scheme over $500 and theft over $500. 0802811
Between January 14 at 11:00 pm and January 15 at 11:00 am in the 6900 block of New Hampshire Avenue, a commercial burglary occurred. Entry was gained through a vent located on the roof. Property was taken. 08002981
On January 15 at 3:37 pm in the 7400 block of Baltimore Avenue, an adult male was arrested on an open warrant for 2nd degree assault. 08003010
On January 15 at 9:34 pm at the intersection of Ethan Allen Avenue and Jackson Avenue, an adult male was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and driving while impaired by alcohol. 08003092
On January 16 at 9:55 am at the intersection of Devonshire Road and Glaizewood Avenue, an adult male was arrested and charged with 1st degree burglary, 2nd degree burglary, trespassing attempted theft and malicious destruction of property. 08003166
