COMMUNITY INFORMATION - Residential Burglaries

Residential Burglaries

**Chief Ricucci would like the community to be aware that he has a special detail working on the residential burglaries, referenced herein, in both uniform and plainclothes. The Chief will be holding a meeting with the residential community very shortly.**

Over the last 90 days, five residential burglaries or attempts occurred in the area of Sycamore Avenue and Woodland Avenue. Method of entry consists of prying or breaking rear and side windows, or gaining access through open windows. Items taken include: digital camera, DVD player, computer, Ipod, and cash.

***Suspects seen***

No suspects seen in burglaries. However, the 7000th block of Woodland Ave was checked on Friday, December 28, 2007, at 5:36 p.m. after a witness observed a black male, 5’10” – 5’11,” wearing a black jacket and hat hiding in bushes between two homes.

Note: The suspect(s) in the burglary at the 6900th block of Sycamore Ave and at the 7000th block of Woodland Ave (12/26 to 12/29) closed the windows before exiting the residence.
