Armed Robbery (Weapon Displayed)
On November 29th at approximately 3:24 p.m., units responded to the 6900 block of Westmoreland Avenue for reports of an armed robbery. The victim was walking in the 6900 block of Westmoreland Avenue towards Walnut Avenue when the suspect passed him, then approached him from behind, brandished a handgun and demanded property. The suspect obtained property and fled towards Walnut Avenue on foot, however, it is believed he entered a white 4-door Sedan that was parked on Walnut Avenue facing Westmoreland Avenue. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 19 to mid-20’s in age, 5’8 to 5’10, approximately 150-180 lbs, dark complexion, short hair, wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt possibly with black stripes, blue jeans, and wearing a white mask. Suspect also had a distinctive tattoo on his left hand of a sun with blue and green colors. Investigation continues under case #07067950.
