Armed Robbery (Weapon Displayed)
On November 26th at approximately 12:00 p.m., units responded to the area of Westmoreland Avenue and Kansas Lane for reports of a robbery. The victim, a United States Postal Worker, was in the rear of his truck sorting mail when he was approached by the armed suspect who demanded property. The victim indicated he did not have any and the suspect removed United States mail packages from the postal truck. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 18 years old, 5’8 to 5’9 in height and 150 lbs, skinny, broad nose and dark skinned. The suspect was last seen wearing a black, possibly hooded jacket, blue jeans and a face mask that was covering half of his face, except for his eyes and nose, and armed with a 9mm black handgun. The suspect was last seen walking down Westmoreland Avenue from Kansas Lane. A police K-9 was attempted, but tracks were inconclusive. Investigation continues by TPPD under case #07067146.
