Attempted Armed Robbery (Weapon Displayed)
On November 17th at approximately 3:30 p.m., units responded to the 1200 block of Holton Lane for an attempted armed robbery. The victims were walking on Holton Lane towards New Hampshire Avenue. Just prior to Wildwood Drive, a cream colored Chrysler 300 passed them on Wildwood Drive from Kirklynn towards Merrimac Drive. As the victims continued walking on Holton Lane, the same vehicle passed them heading up Holton Lane towards New Hampshire Avenue. The vehicle then made a u-turn and parked on Holton Lane near Hammond Avenue. One suspect exited the vehicle with what appeared to be an automatic weapon. The weapon was described as being the length of the suspects forearm and hand. A second suspect also exited the vehicle. The third suspect, the driver, remained in the vehicle. The victims’ indicated that money was demanded, but before they could comply, they flagged down a vehicle that was driving on Holton Lane towards Wildwood Drive. The suspects got back into the vehicle and fled in an unknown direction. The victims were not harmed and property was not taken. The suspects are described as (1) black male, light complexion, 16 years old, 5’6, 120 lbs, jeans; (2) black male, dark complexion, 18-19 years of age, 5’10; and (3) black male (driver).
