On November 3, between 3:30 pm and 9:30 pm in the 300 block of Elm Avenue, a residential burglary occurred. An exterior door had been left unlocked by the homeowner. Property was taken. 07062409

On November 3 at 12:10 p.m., in the 6700 block of New Hampshire Avenue, a strong arm robbery occurred. As an adult female was boarding a metro bus, a subject grabbed her bag and began running. The victim turned and saw the subject running with several other subjects and chased them for a short while before two of the subjects (both black males, 26-27 years old, both wearing corn rows) ran back to the victim and told her they would help retrieve her bag. The two subjects left, without returning the bag, before police arrived The suspect who grabbed the bag is described as a Hispanic male, short, approximately 16 years old, wearing a black hooded sweat shirt. 07062263

Between October 27 at 4:00 pm and November 4 at 4:30 pm in the 6700 block of Poplar Avenue, a burglary occurred. The lock of a detached shed was forced open to gain entry. Property was taken. 07062491

On November 2 between 5:00 am and 7:30 am in the 8100 block of Roanoke Avenue, a theft from auto occurred. A 1997 Ford Crown Victoria was entered by unknown means. Property was taken. 07061956

On November 2, between 3:00 pm and 5:30 pm in the 7300 block of New Hampshire Avenue, a 2004 Jeep Liberty was stolen by unknown means. 07062085

Between November 1 at 7:00 pm and November 5 at 4:30 pm in the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue, a theft from auto occurred. A window of the 1995 Honda civic was pried open to gain entry. Property was taken. 07062709

On November 6 at 2:11 am, a commercial burglary was attempted. An alarm went off when a side window of the building was broken. Nothing was taken. 07062787

On November 6 at 12:14 am, in the 7400 block of New Hampshire Avenue, an armed robbery occurred. As the victim, an adult male, was entering his motel room, five subjects approached him, pointed a handgun at him and demanded he hand over his money. The victim gave them his wallet. The subjects then fled in a white Jeep Liberty with tinted windows. The victim was not injured. The subjects were described as black males, 5'7 to 5'9, thin. The subject with the gun was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt with a multicolored print. The other four subjects were wearing dark clothing. 07062781

On November 6 at 2:33 a.m. in the 6400 block of New Hampshire Avenue, a commercial burglary occurred. The glass window in a side door of the building was broken. Property was taken. 07062790

On November 7 at 3:00 pm in the 200 block of Tulip Ave., an armed robbery was attempted. An adult female was walking alone when a subject approached her, pulled out a gun and demanded her money. The victim told him that she had no money. The suspect then held the gun to her head and started to search her pockets. At this point the victim screamed at the subject who then fled on foot. The victim was not injured and no property was taken. The suspect was described as a black male, about 16-18 years old, 5'4", 125 lbs., dark skinned, wearing a navy blue hooded jacket, dark blue jeans and dark shoes. 07063117

On November 7, between 2:30 pm and 8:45 pm in the 6500 block of Westmoreland Avenue, a residential burglary occurred. The kitchen window had been left unlocked by the homeowner. Property was taken. 07063187

Arrests:

On November 3 at 12:50 am in the 7600 block of Carroll Avenue, an adult male was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. 07062185

On November 3 at 7:53 pm in the 6000 block of Westmoreland Avenue, an adult male was arrested on an open warrant for a violation of probation and 2nd degree assault. 07062345

On November 4 at 11:37 pm in the 7000 block of Westmoreland Avenue, an adult male was arrested and charged with vandalism and theft from auto. 07062543

On November 4 at 4:28 am in the 7600 block of Carroll Avenue, an adult male was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, trespassing and resisting arrest. 07062555

On November 7 at 12:22 am in the 900 block of East West Highway, an adult male was arrested on an open warrant for possession of CDS paraphernalia. 07063005
