On October 20 at 11:53 pm at the intersection of Maple Avenue and Tulip Avenue, an armed robbery occurred. An adult male and female were approached by three subjects in a white Jeep Cherokee. Two subjects exited the vehicle and demanded the victims hand over their wallets. One subject displayed a silver handgun. The other searched the male’s pockets, removed his property, then took the female’s cell phone before fleeing in the Cherokee. The victims were not injured. A witness provided a tag number which was traced to a vehicle that was later found to have been stolen in D.C. The subjects were described as black males, one wearing a grey jacket, a second wearing a white tee shirt. No further description was given. 07059114
On October 20 at 7:30 pm, in the 7300 block of New Hampshire Avenue, a strong arm robbery was attempted. A male juvenile got into an elevator with four to five subjects. One subject attempted to grab the victim’s Ipod and when the victim pulled it back, the subject punched him in the face. The victim immediately fled the elevator. He was slightly injured. The subject was described as a black male, 16-18 years old. No further description was given. 07059243
On October 22, between 8:30 am and 9:00 pm in the7000 block of Sycamore Avenue, a residential burglary occurred. Entry was gained through an unlocked window. Property was taken. 07059644
Between October 20 at 10:30 pm and October 21 at 1:00 pm at the intersection of Roanoke and Houston Avenues, a 1997 Honda Accord was stolen by unknown means. 07059357
On October 22 at 9:02 pm in the 7100 block of Maple Avenue, an armed robbery occurred. An adult male was approached by three subjects while walking. One of the subjects stuck an unknown object in the victim’s side. The subjects then took the victim's wallet and cellular phone. The subjects fled on foot. The victim was not injured. The subjects were described as black males. The first was140-150lbs., wearing dark clothing, long sleeve shirt and gloves. The second subject was 5'7", 180-200lbs, also wearing dark clothing, long sleeved shirt, gloves and mask. The third subject was 5'11", 250-280 lbs., also wearing dark clothing. 07059639
On October 22 at 10:24 pm in the 6600 block of Eastern Avenue, an armed robbery occurred. A restaurant employee was delivering pizzas to this location when he was approached by a subject in front of the residence who paid for the pizzas then called for two other suspects who were waiting around the corner. The two subjects walked over to the victim and displayed handguns, pointing them at the victim. The suspects punched the victim in the stomach and took the victim's wallet , cash and the pizzas and fled on foot. The victim was not injured. The description of the subjects given by this victim was the same as in the previous case. It was determined that the cell phone taken from the female victim in the above case was used to call in the order the pizza in this case. 07059678.
Between October 23 at 10:31 am and October 25 at 10:32 am in the 100 block of Lee Avenue, a 2001 Honda Civic was stolen by unknown means. 07060218
On October 25, between 1:30 pm and 11:30 pm, in the 6700 block of Gude Avenue a residential Burglary occurred. It is unknown how entry was gained. However a window had been left open and a kitchen door had been left unlocked. Property was taken. 07060382.
Arrests:
On October 20 at 5:50 pm at the intersection of Lockney and Kirklyn Avenues, a male juvenile was arrested and charged with larceny from auto - theft under $500. 07059224
On October 23 at 6:00 pm in the 6400 New Hampshire Avenue, an adult male was arrested on an open warrant for violation of a court order. 07059673
On October 25 at 5:00 pm in the 7500 block of Maple Avenue, an adult male was arrested on an open warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of driving with a suspended license. 07060277
