Stolen/Recovered Auto

On October 18th at approximately 10:30 a.m., units responded to the area of Woodland Avenue and Ethan Allen Avenue for reports of a gray van speeding through the area and striking a sign. The van ultimately crashed into a parked vehicle in the 7400 block of Jackson Avenue. Citizen’s reported that two black males exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Citizen’s also reported seeing the same two black males enter a white Jeep Cherokee, unknown year, with possible Maryland tags. It is unknown if the Jeep was already parked in the area, or if the suspects were picked up. A canvas of the area was conducted with negative results. The gray van had been stolen from the 400 block of Elm Street and contact was made with the owner. The suspects are described as two black males, 20 to 24 years old. One was described as being approximately 6’0, weighing 160 lbs, short hair with twists and wearing all black. No further identifying information was available for the second suspect.
