On August 4 at 2:06 am at the intersection of Anne Street and Hammond Avenue, an armed robbery occurred. An adult male was walking alone when he was approached by three subjects in a silver 4-door Chevrolet Impala. One subject exited the vehicle, displayed a handgun, demanded money from the victim then pushed the victim to the ground when he did not immediately comply. The subject took cash from the victim’s pockets and fled in the vehicle. The victim was not injured. The subjects were described as black males, 20-28 years old. The first subject was 150-170 lbs, black hair in dread-locks and a beard. No further descriptions were given. 07043197
Between August 3 at 6:00 am and August 7 at 12:35 am in the 7400 block of Buffalo Avenue, a residential burglary occurred. It is unknown how entry to the home was gained. Property was taken. 07043773
On August 9 at 3:53 pm in the 900 block of East West Highway an assault occurred. An adult male was beaten by three adult males and one adult female after a customer dispute in a restaurant. The victim was treated on the scene for minor injuries. Investigation is ongoing. 070251278
On August 10 at approximately 5:05 am, in the 6400 block of New Hampshire Avenue , a commercial burglary occurred. Police responded to an audible alarm at the business. The front door was forced open to gain entry and a glass window to the cashier's office area was smashed with a hammer. Property was taken. 070251939
Arrests:
On August 7 at 10:24 pm at the intersection of Carroll and Tulip Avenues, an adult male was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while impaired by alcohol and other traffic related offenses. 07043946
On August 9 at 12:00 pm in the 7500 block of Maple Avenue, an adult female was arrested on an open warrant charging her with burglary, 2nd degree assault and theft over $500 stemming from an incident that occurred on August 2 in the 6400 block of 2nd Avenue. 07042868
