On July 13 at 1140 pm, in the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue, a home invasion robbery/sex assault occurred. A male dressed in dark clothing entered the victim’s residence through a rear unsecured door. Once inside, the victim was bound, assaulted and robbed of her property. The victim was not seriously injured. After obtaining the victim’s property the subject fled from the residence. It was later discovered the victim’s credit card was used at three locations shortly after the robbery. The subject’s photograph was captured on the bank surveillance video. The subject was described as a black male, 20-25 years old, 6'-0", 170 lbs., muscular build and wearing all dark clothing. 07038585
On July 14, 2007, between 5:45 am and 6:04 am, in the 1100 block of Kingwood Avenue,
a theft from auto occurred. An unknown person unlawfully entered the victim’s victim’s vehicle through an unsecured door. The subject obtained property and fled. 07038792
Between July 16 at 6:30 am and July 18 at 10:02 pm in the 6300 block of Westmoreland Avenue, a 2006 Dodge Magnum was stolen by unknown means. 07038958
On July 19 at 5:39 pm, in the 7100 block of Cedar Avenue at Tulip Avenue, a arm robbery occurred. The victim was walking when she was approached by a black male subject. The subject placed a stick against the victim’s back and demanded her purse. The victim complied and was not injured. The subject ran to an awaiting black convertible unknown make vehicle and fled from the scene. The subject is described as a black male with close cut hair style, 6'-0" to 6'-2" tall and had no facial hair. 07039792
Arrests:
On July 17 at 9:27 pm, in the 5400 block of Kenilworth Avenue, Prince George’s County, an adult male was arrested by Takoma Park and Riverdale Park Police Officers, on an active Takoma Park warrant stemming from the July 13, home invasion robbery/sex assault incident. 07038585
On July 19 at 11:00 am, at the intersection of University Boulevard and Glenville Street, an adult male was arrested by a Takoma Park Detective on an outstanding Takoma Park warrant for possession of handgun. 07-7682
