On January 26, between 9:58 am and 2:30 pm in the 8100 block of Roanoke Avenue, a residential burglary occurred. A basement window was broken to gain entry. Property was taken. 07-1176
On January 26, between 9:40 and 10:30 am at the intersection of Takoma Avenue and Fenton Avenue, an auto theft was attempted. As the owner of the 2000 Chrysler Concorde approached his parked car, he saw an unknown subject inside. When the subject noticed the owner, he threatened the victim, got out of the car and then fled in a green Dodge Caravan. The ignition and door handle were damaged. The victim was not injured. 07-1166
Between January 21, unknown time and January 27 at 12:45 pm in the 7600 block of Maple Avenue, an auto theft was attempted. The door handle of the 2006 Dodge Dakota was damaged in the attempt. 07-1235
Between January 27 at 7:50 pm and January 29 at 8:30 am in the 7500 block of New Hampshire Avenue, a commercial burglary occurred. A piece of paneling under a window was knocked out to gain entry. Property was taken. 07-1346
On January 30, between 3:34 pm and 4:00 pm in the 7600 block of Maple Avenue, an auto theft occurred. Unknown means were used to steal the 1998 Plymouth Breeze. 07-1427
Arrests:
On January 31 at 3:10 pm in the 7500 block of Maple Avenue, an adult male was arrested on an open Montgomery County warrant for failure to appear in court on traffic related charges. 07-1473
On January 31 at 9:50 pm at the intersection of Takoma Avenue and Fenton Street, an adult female was arrested on an open Montgomery County warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of driving while suspended. 07-1491
