July 14-20, 2006

Arrests:
On July 14 at 3:38 am in the 7600 block of New Hampshire Avenue, two adult males were arrested and charged with intoxication in a public place, trespassing and resisting arrest. 06-8557

On July 15 at 10:21 am at the intersection of New Hampshire Avenue and Erskine Avenue, an adult female was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, driving under the influence and several traffic related charges. 06-8597

Arrests (cont'd):
On July 15 at 12:20 am in the 1300 block of University Blvd., an adult female was charged with attempted theft under $500, forgery and uttering. 06-8602

On July 17 at 5:29 am in the 7400 block of New Hampshire Avenue, police responded to a call for an injured and disorderly subject. An adult male with a cut hand was found with CDS in his possession. He was transported to a hospital for treatment. A warrant for possession of CDS and vandalism will be obtained by police. 06-8681

On July 19 at 2:40 am in the 600 block of Houston Avenue, a criminal citation for possession of CDS paraphernalia was issued to an adult female. 06-8776

On July 19 at 12:57 pm at the intersection of 5th Avenue and Westmoreland Avenue, an adult female was charged with possession of CDS and possession of CDS paraphernalia. 06-8801

Crime Reports
On July 14 at 2:00 am in the 7700 block of Maple Avenue, an attempted armed robbery occurred. An adult male was standing outside talking to friends when he was approached by four subjects. One of the subjects began arguing with the victim and tried to take the victim’s duffel bag. When the victim punched the subject, the subject pulled a handgun out of a bag he had hidden in a bush and began firing at the victim as the victim ran away. The victim was not injured. The description given of the subjects was for young black males, wearing black shirts and pants with no further description given. 06-8528

On July 17 at 3:55 am in the 1300 block of University Blvd., a strong arm robbery occurred. An adult male was waiting at a bus stop when he was approached by two subjects who asked for money. After the victim gave them one dollar and refused to give them more, the subjects dragged the victim away from the road behind shrubbery, took his wallet from his pocket, pushed the victim into a bush and fled on foot. The victim was not injured. The subjects were described as Hispanic males in their 20's. One was 5'10" wearing a black and white shirt. The other was 5'4", 180 lbs., wearing a gray shirt and blue jeans. 06-8680

On July 19 at 3:46 pm in the 6400 block of 5th Avenue, an auto theft occurred. It is unknown how the 2000 Toyota Camry was stolen. 06-8809
