Arrests:
On June 16 in the 7500 block of Maple Avenue, an adult male was arrested on an outstanding Montgomery County warrant for violation of probation. 06-7009

On June 16 in the 900 block of Merrimac Drive, an adult male was arrested on an open Montgomery County warrant for manslaughter and aggravated assault. 06-7028

Arrests(cont'd):
On June 17 in the 8400 block of Lockney Avenue, an adult male was arrested and charged with 1st degree burglary, assault, resisting arrest and destruction of property. 06-7058

On June 17 in the 1200 block of Kirkland Avenue, an adult male was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. 06-7091

On June 18 in the 7500 block of Maple Avenue, an adult male was arrested on open D.C. warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of driving an uninsured motor vehicle. 06-7137

On June 22 in the 8600 block of Flower Avenue, an adult male was arrested and charged with theft under $500. 06-7352

On June 28 at 2:30 am in the 900 block of Merrimac Drive, an adult male was arrested on an open Montgomery County warrant for a violation of probation. 06-7644

On June 25 at 12:53 am in the 7700 block of Maple Avenue, an adult male was arrested on an open Montgomery County warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of driving while suspended. 06-7669

Crime Reports
On June 26 at 3:18 pm in the 1300 block of University Boulevard a forgery/counterfeit was attempted. An adult male entered a check cash business and attempted to cash a counterfeit check. An employee suspected the check was forged and notified her employer. The suspect fled before police arrived. The identity of the subject is known. 06-7555

On June 28 at 7:00 pm in the 1300 block of University Blvd., an assault occurred. An adult who was standing at a bus stop with two friends was approached by a subject who pulled a butcher knife from his pants and held it in a threatening manner toward the victim. The victim and his friends fled on foot. No one was injured. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, late 40's, 5'6", 165 lbs., small build, dark eyes, medium complexion, black hair, wearing a cream colored shirt and blue jeans. 06-7684
