A Takoma Park man has died from a gunshot wound sustained in a robbery in the 8600 block of Flower Avenue, Monday, May 15 about 10 p.m. The victim reportedly complied with property demands after which a shot was fired.
Victor Dao, 66 of the 8600 block of Flower Avenue, was taken to a Washington hospital where he died at about 1 a.m.
The suspects are described as two black males, dressed in black clothes wearing ski masks. One ran from the scene, threatening witnesses who had responded to the sound of shots. Other witnesses described a vehicle leaving the scene as a dark (possibly blue, grey or green) late model SUV.
Takoma Park investigators are consulting with agencies in adjacent jurisdictions, including Montgomery County Police. No further information regarding the suspect is available at this time.
