Arrests:
On February 10 at 11:47, in the 1100 block of University Blvd., a juvenile male was arrested and charged with Theft under $50 after a store employee reported a shoplifting. 06-1510
On February 13 at 10:46 am in the 7500 block of Maple Avenue, an adult male was arrested on an open warrant from Montgomery County for disturbing the peace. 06-1642
On February 11 at 1:47 am in the 7500 block of Maple Avenue, an adult male was arrested on an open Montgomery County warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of driving while suspended. 06-1547

On February 13 at 4:20 pm in the 7500 block of Maple Avenue, an adult male was arrested on an open Montgomery County warrant for a 2nd degree assault. 06-1651
On February 16 at 10:07 am in the 1300 block of university Blvd., an adult male was arrested and charged with trespassing. 06-1764
Crime Reports
On February 10, between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm in the 900 block of Ethan Allen Avenue, an auto theft occurred. It is unknown how the 1994 Nissan Altima was stolen. 06-1567
On February 11 at 10:19 pm in the 100 block of Lee Avenue, an armed robbery was attempted. An adult male was trying to make a food delivery to an apartment when he was told by the apartment occupant that no one there had ordered food. As the victim walked out of the building two subjects, one armed with a handgun, accosted him. The victim was able to re-enter the building and the subjects fled on foot. The victim was not injured. The subjects were described as black males, 18-20 years old. One was 5'7", medium build, wearing a large dark coat skull cap and pants.. The other subject was 5'6", 140lbs, wearing dark coat and pants. 06-1587
On February 13 at 1:45 pm in the 6400 block of 5th Avenue, an assault occurred. An adult male working outside on a house was approached by two males in a red Toyota Corolla. One subject pointed a handgun at the victim, said nothing, did not exit the car and then drove off. The victim was not injured. The subjects were described as black males, 17-19 years old. 06-1649
On February 14 at 1:06 pm in the 6900 block of Laurel Avenue an aggravated assault and auto theft occurred. An adult male was walking to his parked 2001 burgundy colored Dodge Stratus when he saw a subject driving the car toward him. The victim attempted to stop the subject from driving away but the car continued moving toward him and struck his leg. The victim noticed a red car following the stolen vehicle closely as they sped off. The victim refused treatment for a minor injury. The suspect was described as a black male with no further description given. 06-1680
On February 15 at 10:42 pm in the 7100 block of Maple Avenue, an armed robbery occurred. A juvenile male was walking alone when he noticed a group of males walking behind him and another group a short distance ahead of him. Both groups surrounded the victim. One subject inferred he had a gun then others began punching the victim and kicked him after he fell to the ground. The subjects pulled the victims coat off then fled. The victim refused medical treatment for minor injuries. The subjects were described as black males, approximately 18 years old, 5'10" to 6', most approximately 165 lbs, one about 200 lbs., all wearing dark clothing, several wearing ski masks. 06-1748
On February 15 at 8:40 pm in the 6500 block of New Hampshire Avenue, an armed robbery occurred. An adult male was in the parking lot behind his business preparing to close when a subject approached him, put a gun against the back of his head and demanded money. When the victim told the subject that he didn’t have any money on him, the subject took the victim’s keys and ordered him to get cash from inside the business while he waited outside, which the victim did. The subject walked away after the victim handed over cash. The victim was not injured. The subject was described as a black male, 18-20 years old, 5'11", 140lbs, thin build, wearing black and yellow sweatpants a black sweater and a black mask. 06-1759
On February 16 at 3:04 pm in the 6400 block of 5th Avenue, an auto theft occurred. A silver colored 2001 Toyota Sequoia that was left running and unattended was driven off by unknown subject(s). 06-1784
On February 16 at 3:00 pm in the 6400 block of 5th Avenue, an armed robbery occurred. A male juvenile was approached by subjects in a light red car. Two subjects got out of the car, one demanded the victim’s wallet while the other implied he had a gun. A third subject remained in the car. When the victim told them he did not have a wallet, they took his cell phone, got back in the car and drove off. The victim was not injured. The suspects were described as black males, 17-25 years old, medium build, one was wearing a black knit hat, black shirt and black jacket. Another was wearing a tan shirt. No further description was given. 06-1785
On February 16 at 3:03 pm in the 6700 block of Poplar Avenue, an armed robbery occurred. An adult male standing outside his house was approached by two subjects who ran up to him and demanded his wallet while one implied he had a gun. The two then got into a burgundy colored 4 door Acura where a third subject waited and fled. The victim had seen the same subjects and vehicle in front of his house earlier, looking at another parked vehicle before leaving the scene. He was able to get a tag number of the suspect vehicle which was checked and found to have been reported stolen in DC during an armed car jacking. The victim was not injured. The suspects were described as black males, approximately 14 years old, 110-120 lbs, thin build, 5'7", one with dark complexion, wearing a white cap and dark clothing, another with medium build. 06-1787
