Arrests:
On January 28 at 3:32 pm in the 8400 block of Flower Avenue, an adult male was arrested on an open warrant from Howard County for failure to appear in court on a violation of probation charge. 06-1006

On January 28 at 4:20 pm in the 6700 block of Conway Avenue, an adult male was arrested and charged with possession of CDS and possession of CDS paraphernalia. 06-1014

Arrests (cont'd):
On January 31 at 12:10 pm in the 1100 block of University Blvd., an adult female was arrested and charged with theft under $500 after a merchant reported a shoplifting. 06-1128

On February 1 at 10:40 pm in the 7500 block of Maple Avenue, an adult male was arrested on an open warrant from Montgomery County for Failure to Appear in Court. 06-1195

On February 2 at 2:30 am, two adult males were arrested and charged with two counts of armed robbery, two counts of conspiracy to commit armed robbery, two counts of 1st degree assault and two counts of theft under $500 after an adult male and a juvenile male reported they had been robbed by several subjects on the 6400 block of Orchard Avenue at 10:50 pm on February 1. The two suspects were stopped by DC and Prince George’s County police in the 1100 block of Chillum Manor Road after Takoma Park police put out an alert with the description of the suspects and their vehicle. The victims were not injured. 06-1196

Crime Reports
Between January 27 at 3:00 pm and January 28 at 11:30 am in the 1000 block of Elm Avenue, a burglary occurred. The lock of a detached shed was pried off. Property was taken. 06-1001

On January 28, between 11:30 am and 12:15 pm in the 7600 block of New Hampshire Avenue, an auto theft occurred. It is unknown what method was used to steal the 1990 Toyota Camry. 06-1004

Between January 27 at 5:05 pm and January 28 at 3:00 pm in the 1200 block of Elson Place, an auto theft occurred. It is unknown how the 1994 Plymouth Voyager was stolen. 06-1007

On January 29 at 7:00 pm in the 6800 block of New Hampshire Avenue, an armed robbery occurred. An adult female employee of a business was approached by a subject with a handgun demanding money. When the victim opened the cash register drawer, the subject reached over the counter and removed cash then fled on foot. The victim was not injured. The subject was described as a black male, 40-45 years old, 6'2", 180 lbs., slim build, dark complexion, short curly black hair, wearing a grey sweatshirt. 06-1068

On January 30, between 12:30 am and 1:15 am in the 7100 block of New Hampshire Ave., an auto theft occurred. It is unknown what method was used to steal the 1997 Honda Accord. 06-1080

Between January 20 at 6:00 pm and January 30 at 8:00 pm in the 600 block of Elm Avenue, an auto theft was attempted. The driver’s side door lock of the 2004 Ford Expedition was damaged in the attempt. 06-1086

On January 31 at 8:10 pm in the 6500 block of New Hampshire Avenue, an armed robbery occurred. An adult male was walking alone when he noticed two subjects exit a blue van. The subjects approached the victim, one implied he had a gun and demanded his money. The victim handed over his wallet and the subjects returned to the van and fled. The victim was not injured. The subjects were described as black males with no further description given. The blue van had Maryland handicapped tags. 06-1146

On January 31 at 8:30 pm in the 6300 block of New Hampshire Avenue, an armed robbery was attempted. An adult male was pumping gas at a gas station when a dark blue Ford Aerostar Van pulled up to the pump beside him. A subject exited and approached the victim, implied he had a gun and demanded the victim’s money. The victim told him he didn’t have any and the subject then returned to the van and fled. No property was taken and the victim was not injured. The subject was described as a black male, mid 20's, 5'5", thin build, light complexion, black hair, acne on his face, wearing a green and grey hooded jacket. The victim noticed two other subjects in the van. One was described as a hispanic male with black hair and a mustache. He could not describe the other subject. The van had Maryland handicapped tags. 06-1147

On February 1 at 10:23 pm in the 6300 block of Westmoreland Avenue, an armed car-jacking occurred. An adult male was exiting his white 1990 Honda Prelude in front of his home when a dark colored Nissan Maxima pulled up behind him and two subjects exited and approached him. One subject pointed a handgun at the victim, while the other subject searched his pockets and removed his property. The first subject then entered the victim’s car and after a brief struggle with the victim, drove the car away. The second subject fled in his own car. The victim was not injured. The subjects were described as tall black males. The first wearing a green and black down jacket. The second had a black face mask on. No other description was given. 06-1193

Between February 1 at 4:00 pm and February 2 at 7:30 am in the 7000 block of Westmoreland Avenue, an auto theft occurred. It is unknown what method was used to steal the 2002 Mini Coupe. 06-1200
